Pershore Town Football Club has been found not guilty following an alleged racist incident.
An investigation by Wembley FA has found the club not guilty following allegations of an act of racism at a match on Sunday, October 17.
Offenham Rovers alleged that one of their players was racially abused by a representative of New Inn, Pershore Town’s Sunday league side.
An Offenham club spokesman said at the time: “New Inn unfortunately had to turn to insults on the sideline which resulted in a racist comment being aimed towards a Rover which really summed up their poor attitude all game.”
However, Pershore has now been cleared of any such misbehaviour.
Pershore Town club secretary, Hayley Tomkins, said: “We are pleased with the outcome of the Wembley FA investigation and feel this is a completely fair outcome.
“We at Pershore Town FC take racism incredibly seriously and work closely with local forces to ensure our club is maintained to the highest standards and our practices are enforced.
“We wish everyone a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.”
