Evesham appears set for mild and mostly dry weather over the bank holiday weekend.

Temperatures on New Year’s Day could reach 14C, according to the Met Office, with no rain forecast for the day.

The temperature is set to drop slightly on Sunday, January 2 with highs of 12C and lows of 9C. The Met Office predicts a cloudy start followed by heavy showers at lunchtime and into the afternoon, drying up by the evening.

Bank Holiday Monday looks dry at the moment, with a mix of sunshine and cloud. Temperatures will continue to drop, so we can expect more typical January temperatures by Monday night.

Earlier this week, Malvern weatherman Frank Hill told us New Year’s Eve could be the warmest on record, with temperatures of 15C forecast.

Mr Hill said the record for Malvern is 16C, set in December 1974 and in January 2003.
