A nursery in Pershore has been purchased by a nationwide chain.

Polkadot Nursery, on Station Road, is one of eight nurseries to have recently joined The Old Station Nursery Group.

The nursery is part of the wider Polkadot Nurseries group, with the seven other branches all based in and around Warwickshire.

This latest acquisition means The Old Station Nursery Group now runs 53 settings across the UK, providing care for up to 3,504 children.

CEO Sarah Steel said: “We are very excited to welcome all of the children, families and staff members from Polkadot Nurseries to The Old Station Nursery Group.

“We are delighted that you are joining our nursery family and we look forward to meeting everyone in the coming months.”

She added: “One of the core values at The Old Station Nursery Group is our children, ensuring that we provide the very best care and learning environment to allow each unique child to develop and grow confidently.

“I am delighted that Polkadot Nurseries share our priority, always putting the children’s well-being and development first.

“I, therefore, look forward to working with the Polkadot teams to ensure that we continue to be the very best at what we do.”

Previous owners of Polkadot, Elaine and Mike Trevor, added: “We know that The Old Station Nursery Group will cherish the Polkadot legacy and that the business will continue to flourish under their stewardship.”
