A hotel in Evesham is to close to the public.
The Evesham Hotel and Spa, on Coopers Lane, is to close to the public from today (February 1).
A statement from the hotel says that this is only a temporary closure however the duration is not yet known.
The full statement reads: "We are sorry to inform you that as from Tuesday February 1 2022, the hotel will be closed to the general public.
"This is a temporary closure (we are just not sure for how long) but please be assured, we will be back!
"If you have any queries or concerns please contact reception on 01386 765566."
It is understood that the Home Office has booked out the hotel.
However, a spokesman of the Home Office has said that they are unable to confirm the usage of hotels due to “safeguarding issues”.
The Evesham Hotel has also been contacted for comment.
