Three dogs in Worcestershire looking for forever homes

The Dogs Trust centre in Evesham serves as a temporary home for dogs who are in need of a new family.  

The centre has shared three pooches who have their paws crossed that they will find a brand-new loving home this month.

Zach, Saluki, Age 1-2 years

Zach has been called a sweet young boy, who is likely to become an unforgettable member of your family.

He has been living in a foster home where he has enjoyed playing with other dogs who can match his enthusiastic playstyle.

Zach will be needing a moderately busy home and an active lifestyle.

He will need his own secure garden with high fencing, located in an area where he cannot see other dogs passing by. 

Zach must be rehomed with at least one other playful and tolerant dog who will be able to act as a positive role model, in an adult only home. 

Alice, Lurcher, Age 5-7 years

Alice adores people and is hoping for a home that will shower her with cuddles, fuss and treats.

She will need a moderately busy home with no other pets, and a secure garden where she can mooch around and enjoy the outdoors.

Alice struggles to be left, so would like to keep someone company throughout the day, with children of secondary school age and above.

She is happy in the car to go further afield to quiet walking places where there aren't other dogs around, as they can make her quite anxious.

With continued training, Alice is sure to make a truly loyal companion.

Harvey, Mastiff: Old English, Age 1-2 years

Harvey has been described as a larger than life lad, who enjoys fuss and playing with other dogs.

Harvey will require a medium amount of physical exercise, and a decent amount of mental stimulation.

Harvey has lived in a home before and can be left on his own for a few hours at a time.

A rural home will be needed for Harvey due to his worries in busy places, without too many other dogs around, and where he will not have to experience much traffic.

He will need an adult-only home, where he could live with another large-sized dog who is tolerant and playful.

Chris Slight, Manager at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “We have seen 2022 get off to a great start here at Dogs Trust Evesham. February saw 30 of our dogs pack their bags and head off to start their brand-new adventure with their forever families.

“We want to say a huge thank you to the public that continue to show us support and make sure that the dogs get everything that they need whilst they’re here with us. It really is invaluable.

“There are lots of other pooches at the centre that are hoping that their forever home is just around the corner waiting for them.

"For anyone that is wanting to welcome a canine companion into their life, we would encourage them to consider giving a rescue dog a second chance at finding their perfect home”.
