A STALKER has been banned from entering a Vale village.

Marc Wicks, of Woodlands, Evesham, has been told not to enter Bretforton, having receiving a restraining order.

This comes after Wicks, 41, stalked a woman in Evesham between March 25 and April 15 of this year.

He was also charged with sending her unwanted messages which caused her harassment, alarm and distress.

He pleaded guilty on April 18.

At Redditch Magistrates Court on Monday, May 9, Wicks was handed a restraining order instructing him not to have any contact with the victim either directly or indirectly, including on social media.

The order lasts until August 8, 2023, and means he must also not enter the village of Bretforton.

A community order was also made which will see Wicks made to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.

He must also comply with any instructions of a responsible officer and attend any appointments or activity required by them up to a maximum of 15 days.

Wicks must also pay £100 in compensation.

He will pay £5 a week beginning June 6, 2022.
