POLICE call youths throwing rocks and injuring other children in Evesham "idioctic".

West Mercia Police have shared there have been recent issues with 12-15 year olds throwing stones and rocks at other youths at the Charity Brook Park, off Davies Road in Evesham.

One of the recent incidents has resulted in the injury of a child.

The behaviour has been referred to as "idiotic" by PC Matt Beards, of the Evesham rural north policing team.

PC Beards said: " There have recently been issues with youths (approximately 12-15 year olds) throwing stones and rocks at other youths at the Charity Brook Park off Davies Road in Evesham.

"One of the recent incidents caused an injury to someone when a rock hit their face.

"Clearly this kind of behaviour is extremely dangerous and could result in serious injury being caused to someone.

"I am aware that this park is used a lot by dog walkers and parents of young children using the play area.

"Therefore can I ask that people are vigilant when they are at the location and phone 101 and report any such behaviour to us so that we can take action against anyone committing these idiotic acts. "
