The chair of a Vale firm has called it a day after 35 years at the helm.
At the recent annual general meeting of Little and Badsey Growers Limited, Bill Arnold announced his retirement following a 35-year stint.
Speaking after the meeting, he said: "I have witnessed enormous change and challenging times within the horticultural industry during my time as Chairman, but I have to say I have enjoyed every minute of it”.
Mr Arnold will be replaced by Brian Barber.
Littleton and Badsey Growers Limited is the holding company of BHGS Ltd, based at Vale Park.
BHGS distributes products to garden centres, commercial growers, large estates, and allotment societies among others.
