During the short hearing stage dates, when prosecution and defence reveal their cases, were set.

Appearing for the prosecution was Lee Egan, for the defence Mark Sheward.

Judge Martin Jackson asked the 28-year-old, of Shaw Close, Pershore to stand.

He told Johnson his trial, which is expected to last around three days, will take place during the week of October 3.

Johnson was told he must attend the trial, the judge warning him failure to do so could see the trial go ahead in his absence, and he could be committing another offence.
