A man has been airlifted to hospital with "potentially serious" injuries.

This comes following a crash in Evesham earlier this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were alerted to the incident on Pershore Road at 7:25am.

One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham all attended the scene, where a motorcycle had been involved in a collision.

A WMAS spokesperson added: "Upon arrival we found the motorcyclist.

"He was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.

"He received treatment at the scene.

"He was conveyed to Southmead Hospital Bristol via air ambulance for further treatment.”

*UPDATE*

A West Mercia Police spokesperson has confirmed that the motorcyclist involved in the collision was a 21-year-old man.

The spokesperson also stated that he suffered leg injuries "not thought to be life-threatening"

Furthermore, they confirmed that Abbey Bridge was closed for a short time to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
