A MAN was left seriously hurt after apparently being hit with a bottle outside a Worcester pub.

Eyewitnesses ran to help the man who they described as being covered in blood near a tree in the car park of the Goodrest Tavern on Barker Street in Worcester.

Two women have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A neighbour ran to help giving the victim first aid treatment before the ambulances arrived.

She said: "He was hit by a bottle.

"We had to do CPR on him. Then when the ambulance arrived they were also doing CPR.

"He's not in a good way."

The woman said she thought he may have been injured during a fight between two groups.
