An Evesham high school is celebrating once again, a year 11 pupils picked up their GCSE results.

The De Montfort School, on Four Pools Road, has welcomed in students this morning to pick up their results.

Every pupil has already decided their next step, with applications to the school’s sixth form having doubled since last year.

Having seen the students battle through the challenges posed by the pandemic, headteacher Ruth Allen couldn’t be prouder.

She said: “Despite the added pressures and anxieties that the pandemic has brought, the dedication and hard work our students have shown have been remarkable.

“Our students truly deserve to celebrate their achievements today.

“A huge thank you to the Year 11 team, our teachers, and our families for their unwavering support.

“I am delighted with the number of students choosing to continue their studies with us at TDMS and can’t wait to support them during their next stage in their educational journey. A huge well done to all!”
