A damaged sewer will keep a school road in Evesham closed for the rest of the week.
Burford Road has been shut since this morning after damage to a sewer.
The road is home to both Bengeworth Academy and DeMontfort Medical Centre.
Severn Trent is attempting to fix the problem now but has stated that the road will likely remain closed until Sunday, October 30.
A spokesperson for the water company said: “Following investigations into the cause of surface water flooding on Burford Road, we have discovered that the surface water sewer has suffered third-party damage.
“Our engineers are on site now working to repair the damage and return the sewer to use.
"For the safety of our team and road users, Burford Road will remain closed for the duration of the repair.
"We are hoping that everything will be back to normal and the road opens on Sunday, ahead of the schools returning from half term.”
