Remembrance Day is almost upon us and with it come several road closures.

Wychavon will come to a halt over the weekend as residents take a moment to remember the armed forces personnel who have served and lost their lives in wars and other conflicts.

Parades will take place in villages and towns across the district, each requiring various road closures.

Worcestershire county councillor for Droitwich Richard Morris also serves as the chair of the Worcestershire Armed Forces Partnership.

He said: “It is vitally important that the county can come together and take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives fighting for their country.

“During my tenure as chair, I hope that we continue to do all we can to reflect, raise awareness and support those in the Armed Forces community in Worcestershire and build on the fantastic work already being done. This programme of services is a great example of this.”

Five parades will take place across Wychavon, including ones in Droitwich, Pershore and Evesham on Sunday, November 13.
