A Formula One team has paid tribute to a former Evesham schoolboy.

Daniel Cracknell, who attended Prince Henry's High School from 2015 to 2020, died following a motorbike crash.

Upon leaving the school Daniel gained an apprenticeship with the Williams F1 team in their prototype and test department.

It is understood that the team's staff will be wearing black armbands at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend, the final race of the F1 season, while the flag at their HQ has been flown at half-mast.

A spokesperson for Williams said: "Ahead of our final race of 2022, we remember our friend and colleague Dan Cracknell who sadly passed away – our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues."
