The following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court recently.

 

Verity Frieze of Wolsey Close, Worcester, admitted a charge of driving a motor vehicle when her alcohol level was above the limit when she appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.

The court heard the 47-year-old drunk drove a Fiat 500 in Wolsey Close on December 21.

The case was adjourned by the magistrates.

A 41-YEAR-old man accused of stealing £600 worth of garden items failed to turn up for his court hearing. 

Mark Spragg, of no fixed abode but previously of Mayfield Road, Worcester, is accused of stealing an apollo mountain bike, two large wicker garden candle holders, laser levelling tool in yellow carry case, two solar powered candles, a stone fairy ornament and three-part dragon ornament body and tail. 

A warrant was issued after he failed to turn up.

A STUDENT drove while drunk to avoid sleeping outside the house of a friend after falling out with him at the pub. 

Oliver Stanford, of Cedar Close, Droitwich, was spotted drink driving in Bewdley by neighbours driving a Peugeot up and down a road before his arrest. 

The 18-year-old was given a 12-month ban by magistrates.

A PROLIFIC thief who once stole a charity collection tin intended for a little boy with cancer has been back in court again and spared jail.

Despite previously telling Worcester News he would turn his life around, Lewis Ilsley, of Coppice Close, Hallow, admitted burglary and five offences of theft from a shop when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court. 

Among the offences the court heard the 44-year-old committed, was entering Londis at Worcester Service Station in Henwick Road as a trespasser stealing packs of cigarettes, vapes and ice cream.

Ilsley was jailed for 10 months but the chairman said the magistrates bench had decided his sentence could be suspended for 15 months.

And a drink driver drove the wrong way along a busy main city route after enjoying a Christmas night out. 

Leah Hodgetts, of Orchard Grove, Littleworth, Worcester, admitted driving when her alcohol level was above the limit when she appeared at the court.
