A FIRE in scrubland on a railway embankment was put out by firefighters.
A blaze on a railway embankment in Upton Road, Defford near Pershore was brought under control by firefighters from Malvern and Pershore.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a fire on the railway embankment off Upton Road, Defford, at 4.52pm on Saturday.
“Two crews from Malvern, with an off-road vehicle, and one from Pershore attended the fire on a small area of scrubland measuring around 20m by 20m.
“It was extinguished using two backpack extinguishers, beaters and a fogging lance.
“British Transport Police also attended the incident which was closed by HWFRS at 6.58pm.”
