What’s on at Birdland this Easter as park prepares for new arrivals.

Birdland Park and Gardens is gearing up to welcome new arrivals, with many of the birds due to begin courtship and laying eggs over the coming weeks.

Alongside this will be a range of activities for guests of all ages to get involved with.

Birdland’s head keeper Alistair Keen said: “Easter is always a busy time of the year for us as we wait for the eggs to be laid.

“It’s an exciting time when we find out what our new residents are going to look like.”

From this Saturday, April 1, until Sunday, April 16, families will be able to take part in the Easter Challenge Quiz.

Guests will have to hunt down eggs hidden around the park and answer ornithological questions.

Visitors can also go back in time to search for dinosaur eggs in the Jurassic Journey trail and explore prehistoric fossils in the Dino Dig.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to brush up on bird facts with daily feeding shows and talks, where guests have the chance to meet the keepers who care for the park’s residents.

There will be a mini penguin talk at 11am followed by talks on flamingos and parrots at 11.30am and 12pm respectively.

Then at 12.30pm, visitors will be able to meet a keeper before the pelican feed at 3.15pm.

However, the most popular daily feed is at 2.30pm with the penguins.
