A ROAD has been closed in a village following a major water leak according to Highways chiefs.
The leak in Back Lane, Bretforton, near Evesham has been described by Worcestershire County Council as 'significant'.
However, a Severn Trent spokesperson said the work was connected to improvement work, not a leak.
He added: "A team is on site on Back Lane, making essential improvements to our network. This work is not impacting customer water supplies, and we’re not aware of anyone without water. We’ll be aiming to have our work completed as quickly as possible.”
