A NEW cycle park hosted the British Pedal Car Championship.

Evesham Velopark played host to the second round of the national competition last weekend.

Teams travelled from as far afield as Manchester, Rugby, Bournemouth and Oxford for the occasion, on Sunday (May 7).

All in all, 18 cars took to the track for the six-hour race as different drivers, of varying age classes, had a go behind the wheel.

Organiser Dave Ralphs said: “They all said the facilities were excellent and the track was very technical.

“We look forward to booking it for the same weekend in 2024.”
