THE organiser of a riverside charity walk hopes it will raise vital funds for a number of good causes in Evesham, giving them a lift after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Evesham's charity walk is due to take place on Sunday, September 3, beginning at Hampton Ferry, Boatman’s Lane, Evesham (WR11 4BP) at 11.30am.

The fundraiser takes the form of a circular walk around Evesham’s riverside parks and meadows.

Long and short route options are available, depending on how far people want to go with the walk in aid of Evesham charities 'which suffered during Covid'.

"We hope that this walk will be a great way for people to get some exercise and have some fun. Every step taken, will make a huge difference to the community,’ said walk organiser, Marion Griffiths.

It is hoped that people will come out and support Evesham Talking Newspaper, The Red Cross, Caring Hands, Daisy Chain Benevolent Fund, Sue Ryder, Working World, Garage Art Group, Shopmobility, Abbey Trust, and Vale Wild Life Trust.

The walk is open to all ages and abilities with a choice of two walks. There is, a fancy dress competition, a raffle with prizes donated by local companies, and dogs on leads are welcome.
