A POPULAR Cotswold event brought in 20,000 visitors over the weekend.
Moreton Show 2023 is one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the country, and welcomed various visitors to the event on Saturday (September 2).
The event had over 200 trade stands and a variety of family-friendly entertainment.
This year, the event welcomed a brand new attraction, which was the Sheep Shearing Competition, and with this, welcomed the return of The Sheep Show.
The Grand Arena was once again filled with acts like the Shetland Pony Grand National, the Heavy Horse Parade and the Livestock Parade, which features 30 different breeds of animals in the ring at the same time.
Also new to this year's show was the Arena Eventer Challenge from the horse section, which saw riders compete over a set of show jumps and then a short course of cross-country fences in a race to finish in the fastest time without any penalties.
A spokesperson for the Moreton Show said: "We would just like to say a big, big thank you to everyone who helped make Moreton Show 2023 possible!
"Visitors, traders, sponsors, competitors, stewards, contractors, volunteers, and our wonderful office team, it couldn’t have happened without you.
"The sun was shining, everyone was smiling, and it was an incredible day!
"We hope you all had a blast on Saturday, we can’t wait to do it all over again next year!"
The Rural Attractions Arena will include The BMX Show and the 65th anniversary celebration of the Series II Land Rover and the Clumber Spaniels.
The Cotswold Raw Dog Arena was packed with the Strigidea Gun Dog Display, and The Food and Drink Theatre had demonstrations such as perfecting macarons plus the Chocolate Genie, Yvonne Everest.
Visitors were also allowed to watch how farriers make horseshoes from the Horse Area and Open Shoeing Competitions after the events proved incredibly popular last year.
The Moreton Show aims to host a whole load of activities for families to get up close and personal with farm animals, learn more about the rural community and allow people to enter agricultural competitions.
