ONE person was injured after armed robbers stole from a Broadway jewellery shop.

Three people wearing balaclavas forced entry into a jewellery shop in The Green before attacking a member of staff.

They broke in armed with a sledgehammer, an axe, and a crowbar and took a number of items from the store.

The member of staff suffered minor injuries from the attack but was left very shaken.

A blue Range Rover was seen leaving the scene.

It was later found burnt out on Saintbury Hill in Broadway.

It is then believed they drove off in a black Mercedes with the registration NC10RWV.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident on Wednesday (September 20) at  2.30pm.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Percival said: ‘’We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed or has dash cam footage of a blue Range Rover or black Mercedes being driven around Broadway or who saw the Range Rover being set on fire on Saintbury Hill.’

"Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
