A van crashed through a hedge and ended up in a field near Evesham.

Police are now investigating after no-one was found inside the vehicle.

West Mercia Police and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were both called to the incident early on November 9.

A police spokesperson said: “We received a call around 5.10am with a report of a van being on its side in a field off Haselor Lane, Charlton.

“Officers attended the incident to find nobody inside the vehicle. Investigations are now ongoing as to what happened.”

A fire service spokesperson said: “A crew from Evesham Fire Station, along with a Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Bidford on Avon, were called at 6.14am on November 9 to an RTC involving a small vehicle in Haselor Lane, Hinton on the Green, Evesham.

“A van which had left the carriageway and crashed through a hedge was on its side in a field.

“No persons were trapped and access was gained to the rear of the vehicle using RTC spreaders but no occupants were found.

“There were no casualties and the incident was marked as pending closure at 6.50am.”
