AN EVESHAM woman has created a festive light trail to follow around the town of Evesham raising money for charity.

Becki Stean has compiled a list of 16 homes and businesses across the town, raising money for Evesham Defibrillators, a local group dedicated for defibrillators across the town.

Forms are available to purchase for £2 from The Valkyrie, in market square, from Friday, December 1, with all money going to Evesham Defibrillators.

Mrs Stean said: "I love Christmas and love to put lights up on my house. My family love having the lights on to brighten the dark nights and it really gets us into the Christmas spirit.

"I thought if I could make a list of houses and businesses in Evesham to create a trail then families of Evesham would have a route to take to view lights and know where they are.

"The Facebook group was set up for everyone to be a part of and the feedback I have received seems very positive. I am hoping it will be a success."

Mrs Stean says that she chose Evesham Defibrillators as it is an organisation close to her heart.

She said: "I thought this would be a perfect charity to raise money for. They are raising money for defibrillators that anyone could need at any point.

"I trained as a first aider in my previous job so know how important they are to someone in need and how important it is to have one close.

"My dad has suffered two heart attacks so it's something close to my heart."

Mrs Stean said she has had several businesses donating selection boxes for children who complete the light trail.

She said: "All of the profits from the £2 form fee can go straight towards the charity fund. All forms will be available to purchase from The Valkyrie starting on Friday, December 1."

Mrs Stean is hoping the light trail will take off and will be retuning for 2024.
