A woman pretending to be a charity worker in Evesham stole a man’s Rolex.
Police in the town are warning people to be mindful of bogus charity workers following the robbery.
On Wednesday, November 29 the victim was standing in Merstow Green Car Park when he was approached by a woman who asked him to sign a petition for a deaf charity.
While the victim was chatting to the woman, she grabbed his wrist and stole his Rolex watch.
DC Griffiths said: “Please be careful when being approached by someone suggesting they are working on behalf of a charity.
“All genuine charity workers should have legitimate identification, documentation and a registered charity number on them. Don’t be afraid to ask to see them.
“I encourage members of the public to report anyone that they suspect of being a bogus charity collector via 101 and ask for police to attend the location to check the validity of the collector.”
