Students from have visited a care home in Evesham to perform a medley of Christmas songs.

Seniors at the Austin Court Care Home were treated to the TDMS Show Choir's festive mix of traditional carols like 'O Come, All Ye Faithful' and 'O Little Town of Bethlehem', alongside modern holiday tunes such as 'Frosty the Snowman'.

Mrs Walden, assistant head at TDMS, said that the students found the experience rewarding, especially when some of the residents joined in singing the carols.

Activities Coordinator at the care home, Miss Lake, said: "It really was wonderful to see, as soon as the children came in the residents' faces lifted and their eyes began to sparkle.

"Everyone joined in and enjoyed themselves, it was an afternoon of pure joy."

Indeed, the caroling wasn't just entertaining, it prompted recollections of past Christmas celebrations.

Miss Lake added: "Opportunities like this gives our residents the chance to reminisce about previous Christmases they have shared with friends and family and also remember what they were like when they were children."

Aside from their visit to Austen Court, TDMS students are also involved in other charity activities this festive season.

Recently, they joined in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day to raise funds for disadvantaged children in the UK and abroad.

They're also making food donations to charity Caring Hands in the Vale, which will be distributed within the community.
