TWO vehicles were damaged after a van caught fire in Evesham in the early hours.

A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Evesham Fire Station was called at 2.24am today (Tuesday, January 9) to a vehicle fire in Martin Avenue.

“A van fire was extinguished using one hosereel jet with the crew checking for hotspots using a thermal imaging camera,” said a fire service spokesman.

“The cause of the fire was not known. A second vehicle was damaged due to radiated heat.

“There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended.”
