A LARGE emergency service presence was seen in Evesham after a person was hurt in a house fire.
Fire crews were called to the house fire in Cowl Street with firefighters receiving reports of people being trapped inside.
West Mercia and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also on the scene.
A man was handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three HWFR crews – two from Evesham and one from Broadway Fire Stations – were called at 12.03am on February 22 to a house fire with persons reported in Cowl Street, Evesham.
"A fire was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hosereel jet.
"One male casualty was handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
"Police were also in attendance.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 2.23am."
