Veterans from Evesham Rugby Club will travel to Twickenham to raise money to support injured players.

They will play at the home of English rugby on May 25 in the annual Injured Players Foundation's fundraising event.

Rob Callaghan from Evesham Rugby Club said: " The charity is vital in supporting rugby players and their families who may have sustained serious and life changing injuries.

"After losing one of our own on the pitch, we have seen first-hand the support and advice the charity can offer families."

The IPF can help in a variety of ways, such as wheelchair repair and helping with garden accessibility.

They also fund research into injury prevention.

The charity hopes to raise £75,000 this year.
