THE sunshine brought the crowds to taste the treats at a food festival in Evesham.
The Evesham Food and Drink Festival finished yesterday (June 2) at Crown Meadows in the town centre.
The three-day event consisted of food stalls, carnival rides, live music and enactments from the Battle of Evesham.
Traders were generally happy with business throughout the weekend with Saturday being the most popular.
Richard Patemon from Aunt Annies Traditional Confectionery said: "Business has been a bit quiet but generally alright.
"It was quiet on Friday but then again there was that car crash on the A46 and there was traffic chaos.
"I think everyone had been struggling generally but it's been nice weather today (June 2) and there's lots of people out and about.
"There's something for everyone and Evesham is always a nice place to be."
Andrew Taylor from Divine Doughnuts said: "Evesham is a nice location.
"Saturday was our best day by far, there was a lot of people.
"Friday was a little bit slower than at the weekend but because of the weather we have not suffered so I am not complaining.
"We so much rain recently it's nice to see people out and about."
Tim Watkins from Brockleby's Pies said: "I have only been here today (June 2) and it's been great to see so many people here with the wonderful weather.
"It's been a bit slow but there is plenty of people entering and enjoying the sun.
The Evesham food festival is one of nine food and drink festivals organised by Blue Strawberry Events in Worcestershire throughout the year.
Evesham along with Droitwich are two of the oldest.
Ibrahim Benzerga from Platinum Pancakes said: "Business has been so and so, not great but it could have been worse, I think it all depends on your location.
"I have been here all three days and Saturday was the busiest, I'm a bit tucked away here, there's been lots of people enjoying the weather.
Last year saw an estimated 10,000 to 12,000 people visit the festival, from what traders said, those numbers might have been repeated.
The Conservative candidate for the new Droitwich and Evesham parliamentary seat, Nigel Huddleston was spotted at the festival on Sunday along with Evesham's mayor and mayoress.
