ON Tuesday, August 13 I was cycling on Monks Walk, Evesham.
Two cars were parked on the double yellow lines, as commonly happens.
My bike hit a big pothole, the chain came loose and a light fell off only to be run over by a car!
I was thankful that I did not fall off and be hit by the car.
I reported this to Evesham Town Council (helpful but couldn’t do anything), Wychavon District Council (helpful but couldn’t do anything) and Worcestershire County Council highways (‘not our responsibility’).
So it would appear that this road, with its double yellow lines, is a private road provided for the benefit of the local residents and users of the car park.
Please will whoever owns Monks Walk fix the pothole (pictured below) and let WCC know?
