A WILDLIFE hospital is on track to have its busiest year yet.
The Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre has helped almost 8,000 animals this year and it is only the second time in its history.
The hospital, in Beckford near Evesham, had its busiest year ever in 2021 and it hit the milestone two weeks earlier this year.
A spokesperson for the Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre said: "Will 2024 be a record breaking year for Vale Wildlife Hospital?
"Last Friday 15th November, we admitted patient number 7740 of 2024, which was our total number of patients throughout the whole of 2023 (our second highest number in history).
"This morning (November 18), we admitted patient number 7765, a juvenile hedgehog found out in the day.
"The only other year we have reached patient 7765 was in 2021, and we reached this number on the evening of 30/11/2021.
"We are around 2 weeks up on patients from our busiest ever year.
"Do you think this year could be our busiest year on record?"
