THIS photo shows a series of marked police cars on blue lights carrying out checks in the city as part of a crackdown on bad driving, from mobile phone offences to drink and drugs.
Several police cars on blue lights can be seen in the photo taken in New Road in Worcester, shared by West Mercia Roads Policing as part of an operation to tackle those who break the law on our roads.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Roads Policing said: "Identifying those road users who are willing to take a risk and break the law continues to be a priority for us.
"Our roads policing officers have been taking part in a number of operations across the three counties over the past few days resulting in seized vehicles due to; no insurance; illegal window tints; non seatbelt use; mobile phone use; speeding offences; cloned vehicle; failed roadside drugs tests; failed roadside breath tests.
"We continue to do all we can 24/7 to keep our roads safe for all."
