WINCHCOMBE’S very own radio station is preparing to take to the airwaves again.
Radio Winchcombe will broadcast on 87.7FM from Saturday, March 28, until Sunday, April 5, when listeners can also tune in online at radiowinchcombe. co.uk Nine days of talk shows, drama and music will include six 45-minute programmes in which Trevor Hill will present The Songs and Sounds from the BBC and Allied Network.Trevor, a retired BBC radio broadcaster, made these recordings during and after the Second World War.
Radio Winchcombe’s output will also feature two celebrity interviews, one with actor Nigel Davenport and the other with ex-Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and England cricketer Tom Graveney.
