BOOK lovers are being invited to browse for a bagful of bargains at Acorns’ Pershore Grand Book Sale this Saturday, May 21.

The High Street store will have lots of rare and sought after books and publications on sale alongside the ‘Five for Pound’ cheap and cheerful regulars.

Store manager Lynn Smith said: “There is something for all tastes, so we’d love to see everyone snapping up a book bargain to help Acorns’ children.

“We have bargains in fiction and a wide range of reference and non-fiction. Also for sale will be second hand paperbacks, children's books, travel, cookery, military, education and general interest.

“Our much sought after collectables will be on sale as well, for example Biggles by Capt. W E Johns, for £3.50.”

Acorns Children's Hospice cares for nearly 600 children who have life limiting or life threatening conditions. There is no charge to families for using the services but it does cost £750 per day for each child’s care, and the charity relies on donations for the majority of its income.
