AN Evesham woman will be taking to the saddle to support a charity that came to her rescue.
Debbie Barritt, of Northwick Road, is representing the North Cotswold Hunt in a charity flat race in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance at Warwick Racecourse on Sunday.
The 26-year-old, who will be competing on the eve of her 27th birthday, needed assistance from the charity at the age of 18 when she came off a horse on a main road.
Miss Barritt said she was looking forward to taking part in her first flat race, while helping to support such a worthwhile cause.
“I’ve always been the groom that leads the horse up,” she said. “It’s all rather scary!” Miss Barritt can be sponsored via justgiving.
