PARENTS in Worcester have been sharing how they can minimise stress when organising a birthday party for their children in a new poll, organised by Manor Farm pub's parent company Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery.

For many children, the annual birthday party is one of the most exciting days in the calendar, but the poll looked at how, throwing a fun-filled kids’ bash while keeping a room of excitable children happy, without breaking the bank, leaves parents feeling under pressure.

Results from the poll revealed that parents prefer to host their child’s party away from their own home, with mess and a lack of space found to be the top reasons behind this. Coming up with the idea of what they should do with their children and working out exactly who should be on the guest list were found to cause the city’s parents considerable stress and, while entertainment was voted essential. The survey results were announced at a special party to launch Stonehouse Pizza and Carveries’ new pizza parties.

Roger Beesley, Manor Farm general manager, said: “It’s not surprising so many parents across Worcester said they would prefer for the party to take place away from home and that they would like to have all the stresses and strains taken care of for them."
