Applications have now opened for BetaDen’s cohort 2.0.

BetaDen is Worcestershire’s first-ever tech accelerator and offers a unique programme for entrepreneurs and technology businesses. During the first cohort, we have seen entrepreneurs develop new concepts and products whilst co-located with the Worcestershire 5G testbed, and now we’re looking excited to see what the next group of entrepreneurs will be able to achieve.

The second cohort will provide SMEs and scale-ups with more intensive support to enable businesses to design and build their idea and prepare it for market launch, or be positioned for investment.

As part of the unique package, members will be offered their own office space at the BetaDen Hub at Malvern Hills Science Park, as part of a three-day per week programme, with access to a comprehensive range of support including:

l Industry-leading technologists

l Business mentors for techpreneurs

l Events and workshops

l Investment coaching

l Proof of concept grant funding

l Commercial meetings offering genuine routes to market

l Marketing funding.

BetaDen’s first Cohort went live back in October 2018 and we currently have six entrepreneurs in residence, developing a range of next-generation technology solutions, including AI, VR, Blockchain, IoT, Cyber and Machine Learning. These current members include Sidaway, pioneers of machine learning technology, and Syndial, innovators in superfast blockchain for secure transactions on the future internet.

We know that BetaDen can really help to build the region’s reputation as a location that brings innovative tech ideas to life, and we are looking forward to see the next innovative applications.

Applications for Cohort 2 will close on April 30. Those interested will need to complete an online form on the BetaDen website, beta-den.com/apply

Businesses will then be shortlisted to progress applications, before selecting the final cohort.
