Earlier this week, the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce team were welcomed back to their HQ in Prescott Drive for the unveiling of our newly refurbished office.

It has now been more than 10 years since the Chamber made Severn House its headquarters and following continued growth of both the membership and the organisation, the refurbishment has been welcomed by all staff at the Chamber.

In 2017, we moved the Hereford office to Hereford Business Solutions Centre with the aim of making it more accessible to the local business community.

Now with more than 60 staff working primarily from the Worcester office, we worked alongside Chamber Member, Studio Fourteen, to revitalise the working environment to create a fresh and bright working environment.

I would like to thank Studio Fourteen for their support during the project and also extend thanks to Green Lighting who helped house colleagues off-site during the work, in meeting rooms next to the popular office canteen.

Retaining skilled workers in Two Counties

The refreshed and vibrant office is open plan, allowing all departments in the Chamber to work more closely together to support our Members and increase productivity.

The office refurbishment follows the Chamber recently retaining our Gold status in the Investors in People (IIP) accreditation and being the only accredited Chamber of Commerce in the UK to feature in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work for 2019.

We have worked hard to create and sustain a culture which places staff engagement at the top of the HR agenda and the newly refurbished office is a positive way to thank everyone in the organisation for their contribution and commitment.
