One year on since Chamber Members The First Class Pet Company and Metrasens Ltd were recognised in the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2018, local companies are now invited to an exclusive event to find out how the prestigious awards have impacted their business.

Taking place on Thursday, June 13, at DRPG’s HQ in Hartlebury, the Queen’s Award Committee invites local businesses to hear from Lord Digby Jones, and two previous Queen’s Award winners – GTech and The First Class Pet Company.

The presenters will share their experiences from submission to receiving the award, and the positive influence it has had on their companies.

Bromsgrove-based The First Class Pet Company, the team behind the brand Little BigPaw, were presented with the Queen’s Award for International Trade last year, in recognition of its outstanding growth in overseas sales.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are one of the highest accolades for British businesses, and it is great to see Chamber Members across the two counties recognised within these year after year.

Each time we encourage more of our successful and hardworking businesses to apply and join this illustrious list.

As well as hearing from GTech and The First Class Pet Company, the event will provide a summary of each award and the eligibility criteria.

In further award news, we are currently shortlisting for the Chamber Business Awards 2019. Having received over 130 applications across all categories, the high calibre of entries has made this year the hardest awards to judge yet.

I wanted to thank all businesses who applied this time round, and would like to wish good luck to our finalists ahead of the awards ceremony in July.

Tickets for the luxurious black tie evening will go on sale from Monday, April 15. For more information, please contact Awards@hwchamber.co.uk.
