Earlier this week, six businesses from Herefordshire and Worcestershire were named as winners in the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2019, one of the most prestigious awards for UK businesses.

I’m thrilled that Chamber Members; JMDA (John Martin Design Associates Limited), Prometheus Medical Ltd, Seada Technology Ltd, Spectra Group (UK) Limited and Thorlux Lighting were all named as winners after gaining recognition for their exceptional work in their respective categories.

Ledbury-based The Helping Hand Company was also awarded the Queen’s Award for International Trade for its work with commercial partners and local authorities at a national and regional level to support community engagement.

The awards celebrate the range of innovative businesses in the two counties, highlighting that companies are continuing to show strength and growth despite the challenging business conditions.

Every year, we encourage even more of our successful and hard working businesses in the region to apply and join this illustrious list. I am delighted to invite local businesses to find out more about the accolades by attending our Queen’s Awards for Enterprise event on Thursday, June 13, at DRPG’s Hartlebury HQ.

In the presence of the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Holcroft, delegates will hear from Lord Digby Jones and two previous Queen’s Award winners, GTech and The First Class Pet Company, to find out more about the application process.

The presenters will share their experiences with you, from submission to receiving the award and the positive impact it has had on their companies. The event will also include any details of eligibility for the three categories.
