A MALVERN company specialising in infection prevention and control has expanded, creating 38 new jobs in the area.

Melton Group, based at the Link Business Centre in Howsell Road, has announced 38 new jobs.

The jobs, which include part-time, full-time and term time only cleaning jobs, are based around Worcestershire and the wider Three Counties area.

Melton Group’s new job roles include cleaners, team leaders and area supervisors in a number of sectors including schools and the healthcare industry.

Melanie Baker, founder and managing director of Melton Group, said: “The demand for our knowledge in Infection Prevention and Control since the pandemic hit in March, has increased exponentially.

“Our expansion programme, which has resulted in the creation of 38 new cleaning jobs, will further help our mission to create and maintain healthy environments.

“We’re really proud of the team at Melton and the important work they carry out on a daily basis and as more children return to school, we look forward to continuing our support of the wider community with new staff.”

The creation of the new jobs bucks the nationwide news of the UK being in a recession for the first time in 11 years and provides a timely boost to the regional economy.

Mrs Baker added: “Following the recent announcement that the UK is in a recession for the first time in 11 years, the positive news that so many jobs have been created is welcomed news and also demonstrates how businesses are still recruiting, even in these challenging economic times.”

Melton Group was established in 2018 and has continually grown, investing heavily in training throughout that time.

The company has links to community groups and charities in the area and is supporting local families with new jobs.
