AN Evesham motorbike business has celebrated its second birthday by getting in the fast lane.

Valespeed Motorcycles of Willersey, which was founded two years ago by Ben Hall, has set three landspeed records and was judged best Japanese bike at the recent Bulldog Bash at Long Marston Airfield, near Stratford.

Mr Hall explained: "To showcase our ability we have built a series of one off race bikes. The latest of which has been particularly successful, it set three landspeed records in it's class on Pendine Sands, the fastest of which was 126.446mph. Following that it has won quite a few awards, the biggest of which was at the Bulldog Bash where it won best Japanese bike against some very stiff competition.

"I set up the business after spotting a gap in the market for top quality engineering services to the motorcycling market at value for money prices. We offer complete one off builds, servicing and repair as well as prototype and low volume engineering services. We have a paint shop in house that is able to provide show winning finishing as well as accident repair and restoration. We have combined this with full fabrication facilities and a machine shop so that we can handle most tasks in house. We build custom choppers, race bikes and restore classics to showroom condition, as well as MOT work and general maintenance on every day machines. In short we can handle all aspects of bike work, on any type of bike, from a puncture to a full one of custom build."
