A VERY jovial gentleman by the name of Brian Draper was our speaker for the evening on The River Avon.
He certainly knew his subject and kept us all well entertained.
Mr Draper has a lovely sense of humour and kept us all laughing as he was describing the villages on the Avon’s journey and telling amusing stories of these places.
Our competition was A ‘Washed Up or Dug Up’ treasure and was won by Val Davies whose entry was a collection of sea shells.
Second place went to Jean Bayliss and third to Annette Brown.
It was a lovely evening and enjoyed by all.
