SANDRA Williams` Dorris won Best in Show at Naunton Beauchamp`s recent Dog Show.
Dorris is a Petit Basset Grandee and Sandra was making a return to Naunton Beauchamp – this time as a competitor as last year she was the Dog Show judge. Reserve Best in Show was Cathy Poultney English Springer Milly; Sky, a Black Labrador from Cheltenham owned by Miss Green won the Best Puppy Award and Best Veteran went to Liz Barter`s Corgi – Millie. The winner of the Agility competition was Karen Whitehouse`s GSP. This was the first year that Agility had been organised for the show and many dogs `had a go` under the watchful eye of Annette Rose who with her two cockers first showed owners and their dogs how it was done, and then encouraged everyone to take part. . Agility will again be part of next year`s Dog Show.
Together with the Dog Show, the fete raised well over £1,700 which will go towards the upkeep of St Bartholomew`s church in the village.
