OUR July meeting was an evening visit to the garden of Mr And Mrs Allison in Inkberrow. The weather was kind to us after rain earlier in the day and we enjoyed a leisurely stroll round the rambling grounds which our hosts had spent a considerable amount of time and hard work designing.
Our August meeting is the Summer Show scheduled for Wednesday 24, at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall. Judging will commence at 8pm, ably carried out by Tiny Hadley, Club President, and Colin Hill, Chairman. We hope our members will raid their gardens and allotments for their prize specimens of fruit, vegetables and flowers, and at the same time put their baking skills to the challenge of producing a plate of 'Melting Moments' cookies, the favourite class for our judges. A lighthearted quiz will take place during judging. Further copies of the show schedule can be obtained from Dorothy, 01386 830834. We look forward to seeing you all.
