At our recent evening meeting at Raphael’s Restaurant, we started the celebration of 70 years of Rotary serving the local Community and we were delighted to welcome several guests to the meeting.
District Governor Joan Goldsmith talked about her background working with pupils that struggle to fit in the normal school system, which had been a good basis for her work within Rotary and her focus on community support. Jeff and Marsha Fuller from Richlands, North Carolina, USA, where Jeff is President of the local Rotary club, were also our guests. They also support an interact club (a type of Rotary club within a High school). It was exciting that contact could be made with our honorary member, Barbara Taylor, who is strongly involved with the interact club at Prince Henry’s.
