At our recent lunch meeting at Ecgwins, we invited Jenny Davis (Wychavon) to talk about the Enlighten Evesham project. The plan is to develop a creative lighting trail resulting in new connections between the parks and town centre enhancing the town’s built heritage. Hopefully, this will encourage families from the Evesham area and tourists to visit the town centre in the evenings and admire the lighting of Evesham’s historic buildings linking the Almonry Museum to the lighting of the River Avon. The ‘Rotary Tree of Lights’ will fit in very well. There will be a community engagement program focussing on art. The project will kick-off for the public with two launch events, 11th November focussing on the War Memorial and 17th November the Bell Tower and the Almonry museum.
