TWO farms shared the top honours in the silage and hay and straw competitions in the farms and crops competitions organised by Moreton-in-Marsh and District Agricultural and Horse Show Society.
Messrs RH and ME Oughton took first places for clamp silage, clamp maize and whole crop silage, while RJ Baldwyn took the other three first places for his big bale silage, straw and hay.
Results: Clamp silage: 1 RH & ME Oughton, 2 Sezincote Farms, 3 Mrs JA Prest. Clamp maize: 1 EH & ME Oughton, 2 Robert Harrison, 3 Sezincote Farms. Whole crop silage: 1 RH & ME Oughton, 2 Clive Slatter.Big bale silage: 1 RJ Baldwyn, 2 J. MacCurrach.
Straw: 1 RJ Baldwyn, 2 RH & ME Oughton, 3 Mrs JA Prest.
Hay: RJ Baldwyn, 2 Mrs JA Prest, 3 RH & ME Oughton.
